The Secretariat will then forward your application to the Membership Commission of the IACL Executive Committee. After considering your application, the Membership Commission will make a recommendation to the Executive Committee, which will make a decision as soon as possible. In accordance with Article 7 of the IACL’s Statutes, acceptance by the Executive Committee is subject to ratification by the Council of the IACL at the next World Congress, which is usually a formality.

The annual membership fees are as follows:

• Individual member US$35 or €30
• National or regional association/institute US$300 or €250

Membership fees become due on acceptance by the Executive Committee, and thereafter at the beginning of each calendar year.

PAYMENT METHODS

AlertPay
In order to make the payment and receipt of membership fees easier and cheaper, we are setting up an AlertPay account. You will be encouraged to use this method so that the IACL can avoid the excessive fees and red tape involved in cashing international cheques or handling international EFT payments.
