MEMBERSHIP
The IACL has three types of members:
- national and regional associations,
- scientific institutes,
- individual members.
The provisions of the Statute of the IACL governing membership are the following:
Article 6.
The members of the Association are national associations of constitutional law. In addition, scientific institutes and individuals can be members of the Association.
Any association of constitutional law whose activities and objectives are not contrary to the objectives and the statute of the Association may be a member of the Association.
Recognized scholars or scientific institutes active in the field of constitutional law may be admitted as individual members.
Article 7.
Applications for membership in the Association are sent to the Executive Committee which may decide temporarily on the application. The definite decision on admission is taken by the Council of the Association.
Article 8.
The Council may at the proposal of the Executive Committee exclude members who are delinquent in payment of dues over a four-year period or who have otherwise violated the Statute of the Association.

In accordance with Article 7 of the IACL’s Statutes, acceptance by the Executive Committee is subject to ratification by the Council of the IACL at the next World Congress, which is usually a formality.
The annual membership fees are as follows:
- Individual member US$35 or €30
- National or regional association/institute US$300 or €250
Membership fees become due on acceptance by the Executive Committee, and thereafter at the beginning of each calendar year.
PAYMENT METHODS
If you are already a member of a national association of the IACL, you automatically become a member of the IACL itself. Kindly consult the list of national associations below. Note that membership of a national association does not preclude you from joining the IACL as an individual member.
